Synopsis[]
Morihito Otogi, a modern day ogre, is told that he will become the familiar to his childhood friend, Nico Wakatsuki, in order to protect her from a dangerous prophecy. However, he quickly learns that it will not be easy, as Nico is so eager to use her spells, that she doesn't think of the possible consequences.

- In Volume 1, this chapter was renamed as Return of the Witch, however the Japanese name remained.
- The English version remained the original name.
Trivia[]
- The names of Momota and his gang are in reference to the Japanese folklore of Momotarō. According the legend, Momotarō met a talking dog (犬, inu), monkey (サル, saru) and pheasant (キジ, kiji) during his quest to fight a band of Oni.
- Momota, Inuzuka and Saruwatari are in reference to Momotarō, the talking dog and monkey, respectively.
- As noticed by Morihito, the pheasant is absent and replaced by Yamamoto, a common Japanese family name.
