Anime and Manga Differences[]
- The episode begins with Nico and Morihito saying goodbye before Nico leaves to begin her witch training, while chapter 1 begins with Nico saying goodbye to her mother before going to Morihito's house.
- The anime removes the part where Reiji tells Morihito that if he refuses to be Nico's familiar, he will return to his natural state, which is a mix between a cow and a tiger.
- The anime removes the scenes of Nico imagining how Morihito will greet her, being the first time they have seen each other in a while, this being the reason why she loses control of her broom.
- In the anime, Morihito arrives at Nico's location and sees her in the crack, however in the manga, Morihito finds her before she falls into the crack.
- The anime removes the scene where Morihito defends Nico from being hurt by Momota (this being the reason why Reiji and Morihito visit Momota's house to apologize to him and his father).
- The anime reduces the explanation about qigong martial arts.
- The anime removes the reference to Morihito's grandfather.
- The moment when Morihito remembers when his father told him about Nico's prophecy differs in both the anime and the manga, while in the manga it happens after Morihito rescues Nico, in the anime it happens at the end of the day.
- The anime makes several changes regarding time, in the manga, after saving Nico, she and Morihito sleep on futons and the next day they go shopping and save the woman from the building, however in the anime, after saving Nico, she and Morihito go shopping and everything happens with the woman from the building and they end up sleeping on the futons.
- In the anime, after rescuing Nico, she and Morihito go shopping for Nico, however in the manga they go home and go shopping the next day.
- The anime does not adapt the scenes of Nico and Moi's first morning living together.
- The anime removes the scenes of Morihito and Nico shopping inside the mall.
- In the anime, after shopping, Morihito and Nico talk as they leave the store, while in the manga they talk while walking down a pedestrian street.
- In the manga, after seeing the building on fire, Nico wants to help the trapped person so Morihito, remembering his father's words about the prophecy, decides to stop Nico, this memory was removed from the anime.
- The scene where Nico and Moi sleep on futons in the living room is placed at the end of the episode.
