Hibana Suzaki (洌 (す) 崎 (ざき) 陽 (ひ) 花 (ばな) , Suzaki Hibana^?) is a supporting character in Witch Watch series.

She's a warlock and the daughter of Rinka, a witch known as the Demolition Witch (爆 (ばく) 破 (は) の魔 (ま) 女 (じょ) , Bakuha no Majo^?) from whom she inherited her powers and her nickname.

She's the partner of Kokuryo in his plan to resurrect Jura making them the main antagonists of Phantom Blaze Arc. Currently, she's one of the main antagonists of the series by collaborating with Shikimi.

Etymology

• The name Hibana means "sunshine/positive/heaven" (陽) (hi) and "flower" (花) (bana).
• Rinka's surname Suzaki means "pure" (洌) (su) and "promontory/cape/spit" (崎) (zaki).

Appearance

Rinka is a short 11-year-old girl, having a height similar to Kuon at that time.

Rinka has short hair reaching her chin, her hair is combed down with some strands sticking out in different directions. She has a pineapple-shaped hair clip. She wears a long jacket with pockets, a skirt with a checkered pattern and casual shoes.

20 years after the Migirijima mission, Hibana has grown her hair to shoulder length, wears pineapple-shaped earrings, and an off-the-shoulder dress.

Personality

Hibana is a quiet girl who doesn't usually talk much, however she won't hesitate to hurt others if they interrupt her plans or those of her partners.

History

Hibana would be raised by her mother after her father abandoned her upon learning that her mother was pregnant, Hibana would inherit her mother's powers which would make Rinka try to distance her from society. One day, her mother would meet Professor Soji Kokuryo who was a witch and used to spend time with them.

Due to her mother's job, Rinka would hire a nanny to take care of her resulting in the nanny physically abusing Hibana making Rinka angry when she discovered it, this would cause her mother to kill the nanny with an explosion drawing the attention of her neighbors and the police who would classify Rinka as a possible terrorist, scared of what could happen to Hibana, Rinka would send a letter to Soji leaving him in charge of Hibana.

Abilities

• Explosion Magic: Hibana has the ability to generate explosions through her hands and possibly her body. Hibana generates explosions at a specific target, generating combustion wherever she indicates, so she can generate an explosion at will and without generating a trajectory. Due to Hibana's inexperience, the explosions are not generated at specific points and the faster she uses her magic, the faster it will weaken.
