Jun Horai (蓬 (ほう) 莱 (らい) 純 (じゅん) , Hōrai Jun^?) is a supporting character in Witch Watch series.

He's a student from Asunaro High School and Kan's classmate. During the second year, he shares class with Morihito, Kuku, Keigo, Kara, Haruko, Tsuyoshi and Kan.

Etymology

• The name Jun means "genuine/purity" (純) (jun).
• Jun's surname Horai means "wormwood" (蓬) (hou) and "goosefoot" (莱) (rai).

Appearance

Jun has a different style than the other characters, looking more like the characters in English books.

He wears the Asunaro High School uniform. He has black hair and is the same height as his girlfriend, Ann.

Personality

Like Ann, Jun often speaks in very basic phrases.

He has a complex about the way he usually speaks which makes other people see him as strange. He tries to make others laugh so they don't see it as so strange.

History

During his childhood and middle school, he used to read a lot of the New Horizons books since his parents are English teachers so by reading them too much he managed to speak similar to the books.
