Jura (樹 (じゅ) 羅 (ら) , Jura^?) is a supporting character and the main antagonist of Witch Watch series.

She was the leader of the warlocks and the cause of the great mage war. The goal of the warlocks is to resurrect Jura so that she can create a paradise for witches.

Etymology

• The name Jura means "trees/wood" (樹) (ju) and "gauze/arrange" (樹) (ra).

History

According to legends, Jura was the cause of the Great Mage War. At the end of the war, Jura was executed along with the other warlocks.

Abilities

Although its exact powers are unknown, Jura is considered one of the most powerful warlocks that have ever existed.

Jura's Curse: Jura's real name is unknown, being known by few people, however those who know her true name are marked and cursed, although the workings of the curse are unknown, it is said that when Jura returns those people will suffer some kind of attack.

Resurrection

According to Tamaki, it's possible to resurrect Jura under certain conditions, the only known condition being having a vessel that has the same amount of power as Jura.
