Kukumi Ureshino (嬉 (うれし) 野 (の) 久 (く) 々 (く) 実 (み) , Ureshino Kukumi^?) is a supporting character in Witch Watch series.

She's Kara and Nico's best friend. She's an otaku fan of Uron Mirage, so she would create a group with Yuri Makuwa called Fave Artist File focused on the creation of fanfics of the aforementioned series. Later, Kuku would try to become a mangaka and managed to serialize her manga called "Poof Poof Pwoof, Kemuri's Hazy Dayz" in Weekly Shonen Jaguar.

Etymology

• Her name Kukumi means "long time/old story" (久) (Ku), kanji repetition mark (々) (ku) and "reality/truth" (実) (mi).
• Kukumi's surname Ureshino means "happy/glad/pleased/rejoice" (嬉) (Ureshi) and "field/wilderness" (野) (no).

Appearance

Kukumi usually wears the Asunaro High School uniform. In high school, Ureshino usually has her hair down.

Although she doesn't normally wear glasses, she has been seen wearing them at night or when she has to read or draw.

Personality

Kukumi is a good person being considered a goddess by Yuri. She is a shy person with the people she has just met, yet she tries to help those who need it.

History

During middle school, Kukumi would try to make friends using her taste for manga as a means to get closer, being considered a strange person, all her classmates moved away from her, seeing this, a classmate named Kara approached her and she would invite to a family restaurant since then Kara and Kukumi would be best friends.

At some point, she began to draw pictures of her favorite manga Uron Mirage and upload them to Chitter , reaching 10,000 followers for his drawings. A follower named Dengeki Melon would start following her from 100 followers.

Some time later, Kukumi would learn the identity of Dengeki Melon, this being Yuri her homeroom teacher, since then Kukumi would ask her for advice to write her own manga and later ask for her help.

Kukumi would form a group to make their Uron Mirage fanfic manga together with Yuri being called Fave Artist File.

Trivia

• Like Yuri, she loves reading manga and considers herself an otaku. Her favorite manga is Uron Mirage.
• She often posts her drawings to Chitter under the name Haimi (ハイミ, Haimi^?).
