Miharu Kiryu (霧 (きり) 生 (ゆう) 眞 (ま) 澄 (すみ) , Kiryu Masumi^?) is a supporting character in Witch Watch series.

He's a vampire who works as an exorcist. He's also Miharu's father.

Etymology

• The name Masumi means "truth/reality" (眞) (ma) and "clear/pure" (澄) (sumi).
• Masumi's surname Kiryu means "fog/mist/haze" (霧) (kir) and "life" (生) (yu).

Appearance

Masumi wears a black outfit with a cape. Because Miharu feeding on his vitality, he has an appearance of someone older.

Personality

Despite his creepy face, Masumi is a good person who is usually calm and kind.

History

His family has been Ibuki's ally for many years.

When the Otogi Household arrive in town, Masumi greets them at her house and drops them off at a lake so they can relax.

After Ryohei's attack she apologizes to the group and explains that he and Miharu come from the bat familiars known as vampires. After fixing things and Nico offered Miharu to go with her and become her familiar, Masumi says goodbye to his son.
