Shiki (シキ, Shiki^?) is a supporting character in Witch Watch series.

Shiki's a shikigami and Kara's familiar.

Etymology

• The name Shiki is a shortening of the word Shikigami.

Appearance

It's shaped like a bird, it is made of Shide paper so its body is white. It has no eyes or mouth but can communicate with Kara.

Personality

It's helpful towards its creator by following Kara everywhere even to the shower, it usually protects Kara from danger.

Despite not having a face, it can show emotions such as happiness, sadness, and regret through body motions.

History

Although he was born through a spell from Nico, it was Kara who gave him form and therefore life. Although Nico's spell was not meant to create prolonged life, Shiki would be born from the magic of the shrine and Nico as well as Kara's bloodline. From then on, Shiki would protect Kara as her familiar.

Abilities

• Water Resistance: Due to being made of shide paper, Shiki is water resistant so getting into lakes or rivers without risk.
• Size Change: Shiki can change the size it wants, it can become giant to scare people or become small enough to fit into a pocket or a cup of tea.
