Slump (スランプ Suranpu?) is a supporting character in Witch Watch series.
He's a genie who works under Chami's orders as her familiar.
Etymology[]
- His name comes from the English word Slump, Chami would give him that name as a reference to the fact that he always appears when she's in a bad moment to cheer her up.[1]
Appearance[]
Slump has a ghostly appearance, being visible to magic-related beings such as witches or familiars. Normally Slump usually has only the upper half of his body visible, however it has been seen that he can also be summoned in full. Slump has blue skin and pink tattoos, his outfit is black with gold details on his chest or elbows.
He has markings all around his body, whether on his abdomen, arms or face. He has painted lips as well as the area near his eyes, as well as a kind of cross on his forehead. He has his hair tied back and long on the sides. He wears earrings in both ears.
Personality[]
Slump is chivalrous, greeting everyone who sees him, although he tends to exaggerate with his words. Slump is loyal to Chami and acts as her advisor, servant and bodyguard, protecting her from any potential danger.
History[]
At some point after manifesting her powers, Chami would begin to have conversations in her mind, over time the voice in her head would begin to have its own personality so Chami used to talk to the voice so as not to feel alone. Over time Chami would give it the name Slump. Due to Chami's work, Slump became a great emotional support for her.
Some time later, Chami would move to Yuzenkyo to learn how to use her powers, during one of her practices she would be able to summon Slump and finally meet her in person after so many years. Currently, Slump acts as her servant and friend.
Abilities[]
- Fighting Abilities: Slump is described as being incredibly powerful, strong, fast and accurate, and acts as Chami's bodyguard. However, he has the disadvantage of not being able to separate himself from Chami for long.
Trivia[]
- During his first appearances, Slump was referenced as a Stand in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure franchise's battle system, being called Star Platinum, a signature stand of said franchise.
