Tokiyo Kanou (叶 (かのう) 時 (とき) 世 (よ) , Kanō Tokiyo^?) is a supporting character in Witch Watch series.

He was a warlock know as the Dreamweaver Witch (夢 (ゆめ) の魔 (ま) 女 (じょ) , Yume no Majo^?) and one of the antagonists of The Day of the Disaster Arc alongisde Ran, Rabuka, Komugi and Shikimi.

After leaving the group of warlocks, Tokiyo would promise not to use his magic again. Currently, thanks to Miharu and Nico, he lives like a normal human.

Etymology

• The name Tokiyo means "time" (時) (toki) and "generation/world" (世) (yo).
• Tokiyo's surname Kanou means "answer/grant" (叶) (kanou).

Appearance

Tokiyo has his long hair combed back. His face is made up in the part of his eyes having a black color around them besides his lips. He wears circle earrings. He wears an outfit with a flower pattern and white lines.

Personality

Tokiyo is a flamboyant person with a terrifying attitude. He is also a sadist who enjoys causing physical and psychological damage to his enemies. When not using his magic, Tokiyo demonstrates a cowardly attitude as he is not good at long-range combat.

History

Since childhood, Tokiyo has served the cause to revive Jura by helping Komugi train his dream magic for their future mission. When the warlocks decide to attack Nico and her familiars, Tokiyo participates in the plan by fighting Kanshi. After losing to Kanshi and being abandoned by Shimiki, he decides to leave the group.

Abilities

• Dream Magic: Dream magic allows him to manipulate his target's dreams while they are asleep. Tokiyo can create a simulation of a situation in the dream, or turning it into a nightmare for the target, he can also make this simulation work for his allies by helping them train their abilities even if they are asleep. Tokiyo can force people into any dream. Tokyo has also mentioned that he is able to enter the dreams of anyone but his own.

• According to his character profile, Tokiyo puts makeup on his face because he is a fan of Joker, however his friends would make fun of him.
