Tsuyoshi Ishi (石 (いし) 剛 (つよ) 志 (し) , Ishi Tsuyoshi^?) is a supporting character in Witch Watch series.

He's a classmate and friend of Nico, Morihito and Keigo. Later he would become the boyfriend of his childhood friend Haruko Gojo.

Etymology

• The name Tsuyoshi means "sturdy/strength" (剛) (tsuyo) and "intention/plan/resolve/aspire/motive/hopes" (志) (shi).
• Tsuyoshi's surname Ishi means "stone" (石) (ishi).

Appearance

Tsuyoshi is of average height. He has a shaved head and bare arms. His uniform is cut off at the sleeves so his arms can stand out, showing off his muscles.

Personality

Tsuyoshi is a absent-minded person with a kind heart. He has good intentions in everything he does and tries not to hurt others with his words. He is kind to others, and is described by his friends as having a lot of willpower.

History

His father is a gardener who used to work at the Gojo family's house. There, Tsuyoshi would meet the daughter of said family named Haruko Gojo, with whom he used to play in the courtyard, becoming close friends. Over time, Tsuyoshi would develop a crush on her, but due to the social status of their families, Tsuyoshi would swallow his feelings and remain her friend.

Some time later, Tsuyoshi would enter Asunaro High School, being in the same class as Nico, Morihito, and Keigo. Months later, Haruko would confess her feelings to him, and since then, they would begin dating. Currently, both are in the same class.

Haruko is Tsuyoshi's childhood friend, whom he used to play with while his father took care of the gardening at Haruko's house. Over time, Tsuyoshi would develop feelings for her but would not tell her due to the difference in social status between their families. However, Haruko would confess to him, to which Tsuyoshi would reciprocate her feelings by starting to date.
