Witches and Warlocks Explanation

Warlocks (黒魔女 (ウォーロック) Wōrokku?) are a race capable of using black magic ( (くろ) () (どう) Kuro Madō?).

The warlocks come from witches who had poor morale, resulting in them being corrupted. Upon becoming a Warlock, they are able to use offensive spells.

History[]

Originating from witches, warlocks arrived in Japan around 1600.[1] At some point the witches learned black magic thus becoming warlocks.

Some time later, during the end of the Tokugawa shogunate, the warlocks came into conflict with the witches this event would eventually become known as the great mage war and would result in the eradication of the warlocks alongside their leader Jura.[2] To prevent the resurgence of these beings they educated the young witches to perform good deeds.[3]

Transformation to Warlock[]

A witch can become a warlock when they have negative feelings, such as revenge, jealousy, hatred, etc. Witches usually have a stone in their wands that, depending on their actions, turns blue.

A witch can become a warlock when performing actions or having negative feelings, makes their stone turn black. However, only when the witch uses a spell while their stone is black, the transformation of the witch into a warlock is complete.[4]

Warlocks emit a dark aura of sorts that let witches with an alert spell casted on them to detect their presence within a range of 200 metres.
