Werewolves (Anime)

Werewolves (狼 (おおかみ) 男 (おとこ) , Ōkami Otoko^?) are a race of people descended from familiars.

The werewolves are descendants of Wolf Familiars (オオカミの使 (つか) い魔 (ま) , Ōkami no Tsukaima^?).

Overview

Werewolves are a species from the wolf familiars, this species is usually territorial so they are specialized in close combat.
Due to weakening, this species can transform by looking at any object in the shape of the crescent moon.
When they transform they acquire a new identity so they are considered two independent beings with their respective personalities and behaviors. They are currently considered an extinct species.

History

Like the tengus, ogres and witches, werewolves are believed to have arrived in Japan around the year 1600.

Abilities

• Wolf Transformation: Due to the weakening of familiars, contemporary werewolves cannot transform into wolves so they transform into a different identity who retains the abilities of a wolf.
• Inheritance of memories: By having two identities, werewolves can save memories during their transformation, so an user can remember what they did during their transformation and vice versa.

• Magami Clan (真 (ま) 神 (かみ) 一 (いち) 族 (ぞく) , Magami Ichizoku^?) is the only clan of werewolves currently known, showing that their existence is rare. The only thing known about this clan is that it comes from Keigo's paternal side, although his father did not present the ability to become a werewolf.
