Yuzuru Kenmochi ( (けん) (もち) () (づる) Kenmochi Yuzuru?) is a supporting character in Witch Watch series.

He's a student at Asunaro High School and a member of the student council, he's the student council vice-president alongside Ibara Ibu.

Etymology[]

  • The name Yuzuru means "bow" (弓) (yu) and "bowstring/chord/hypotenuse" (弦) (zuru).
  • Yuzuru's surname Kenmochi means "sacre/sword/blade" (剣) (ken) and "hold/have" (持) (mochi).

Appearance[]

Yuzuru is a tall person, being taller than all the members of the student council (except Burst).

His hair is green (blue in the manga) and long in the back as well as leaving several long strands of hair on his face with two of them being in between the two eyes, his eyes are red but they can rarely be seen since Yuzuru has the characteristic of always having his eyes closed giving the impression that he is someone evil or with suspicious attitudes. In his hair he has two purple hair clips.

Yuzuru wears the assigned high school uniform which consists of a white shirt, black pants and brown shoes, he wears a blue vest without a collar.

Personality[]

Yuzuru appears to be a good person but due to his closed eyes he often makes people believe that he has bad intentions. He has Kansai accent.[2]

History[]

Tenryu and he are childhood friends so they have known each other for a long time.[3] He was recruited by Tenryu to join the student council as the vice president.

Relationships[]

Tenryu Kiyomiya[]

Yuzuru is a childhood friend of Tenryu, having the idea that he should help him in any way he can. Despite their different personalities, he and Tenryu are good friends and Yuzuru usually respects and values ​​Tenryu's opinion.

Rest of the Student Council[]

Yuzuru gets along well with the others, being their friends as well as their fellow council members. He often goes out with them from time to time.

  • Like all members of the student council, he represents a typical manga cliche.
    • He represents the mysterious character with his eyes closed.
  • Due to his Kansai accent, he is often compared or confused with Kanshi.
