Zanjinsai Otogi (
He was an ogre and a member of the Otogi Clan in the era after the Great Mage War. Centuries later, he and other ogres would train Morihito Otogi.
Etymology[]
- The name Zanjinsai means "high mountain" (嶄) (zan), "humanity/virtue/benevolence" (仁) (jin) and "purification/room/worship/avoid" (斎) (sai).
- Zanjinsai's surname Otogi means "witty/chic/quaint" (乙) (oto) and "tree/wood" (木) (gi).
Appearance[]
Zanjinsai is an old person so he has little hair. His hair is tied up in the back, he has a big beard and mustache and his eyebrows have a lot of hair and has an x-shaped scar on his forehead, as well as earrings in his ears.
He wears a white hakama and a square pattern vest.
Personality[]
He is a calm and wise person. Despite his calm demeanor, he is a very skilled person learning Qigong from ogres and creating his own technique.
History[]
Zanjinsai was born in 1866, when the great mage war had ended and the ogres were once again familiar to the witches.[1] Zanjinsai would be born as a member of the Otogi clan and Tesshin Otogi's son.
Many years later, during his old age, he would write in the book of martial arts to guide his descendants.
Abilities[]
- Ogre Qigong Fighting Arts: Being an ogre, Zanjinsai was an expert in Qigong creating his own technique.
Equipments[]
- Walking Stick: Zanjinsai usually carries his cane to walk, when he is in a fight he doesn't usually use his cane to fight.
Trivia[]
- Zanjinsai is a reference to the old masters that appear in the manga like Netero from Hunter x Hunter or Roshi from Dragon Ball.
- In the omake of chapter 91 included in volume 11, his name was written as Ganjinsai.
